Welcome to the site dedicated to helping you go from beginner to advanced in your knowledge of the Zend Framework. This site is designed to teach you, whether you’re a hobbyist or professional web developer all you need to know about the Zend Framework through tutorials, tips, interviews, reviews, podcasts and more.
I’m learning all about it myself, having used version 1, for many years now, and am actively updating my knowledge of the new version, including some of its key topics including:
- Service Manager
- Direct Injection
- Event Manager
- Module Manager
- Routing
So I’m dedicated to making this site the best resource possible for learning the Zend Framework with all the information that you need, regularly updated each and every week. In your journey of mastery, I wish you all the best.
Contact
If you need to contact me directly I’m always available via email: matthew [at] maltblue.com. If email’s not your style, you can always find me on Twitter (@maltblue), Google+ and Facebook (/MaltBlue).
First Things First
The Newsletter
As well as the content on the blog, I publish a weekly newsletter to the mailing list, often times containing extra information, links, tips, tricks and ideas that aren’t always included in the regular blog posts. So subscribe to the newsletter for free updates to your inbox.
Don’t worry, I hate spam as much as the next person. I do recommend products and services periodically, but only ones that I’ve used and truly believe will be of benefit to you whether learning the Zend Framework or for developing great applications with it. One final word – I will never give away your information – unless you’ve expressly said that you’re OK with it.
RSS Feed
If you are more the RSS style, then subscribe to the RSS feed. Easy, unobtrusive and simple.
Getting Started Posts
Here are some of the best posts on the site to get you started. Admittedly, there based on the 1.x series of the framework. But over the coming weeks and months, they will be getting a bit of love and migrated to the 2.x series. In the meantime, I highly encourage you to check them out.
